What songs do you listen to for this Christmas?

Very embarrassingly, i would do the same thing every year; Googling and Yahoo-ing for the top X’Mas songs for the year only to revert to listening to the same, usual, timeless ones i would listen to over and over again every year =)

Tiramisu cake♥

 

Gracie had this Blackforest cake.

The cakes didn’t taste as nice as they looked in fact. The tiramisu cake was dreadfully lacking in tasting like tiramisu while the ‘Blackforest’ cake was practically warm and melting even when just served.

I guess we are just paying for the the Eye-Feast, for the ambience and all that girly, pinky, fantasical, princessy experience. In addtion, the girls who served us are all dressed up in frilly- pinky, dolly outfits (you won’t want to be caught dead wearing them) to ensure that you would have the ultimate princessy feel.

Gah. As much as i would like to go, i can’t. Just don’t have the luxury of time! I envy all of you who are going, okayy!

PS My braces were fixed as of last Saturday, and i can only say, they are awful! At last count, i have three soreful ulcers in my mouth from the braces! it’s only the fourth day, but i can’t wait for the day when i could have them off already;(

back with toothie problems

[ NOT FOR THE FAINT-HEARTED]

The irritating spacers in my molars:

(oop. very unsightly. mercury fillings i had in some of my molars- a result of having a sugar tooth i guess! and also not to say brownningggg teethhhhh..  teehee)

And yesh, you are right! I am getting braces, and at nineteen years old! Hmm. However, it’s going to be the spacers(blue thingy above) first for a week. I have 8 of them in total by the way. 4 at the bottom, another 4 on top.

I thought it’s quite a late age for me to be getting one, since almost all my friends had braces in their mid- tweens, but better than not, right?

I used to have a very silly concept about the idea of getting braces actually; that we should all embrace our very own imperfections, or rather, ‘unique qualities’! I took great pride with my crooked tooth.[ for those of you who knew me, you surely know my 'funny tooth'!] Uncles and aunties used to comment my ‘funny tooth’ as cute and no- other- like that, and therefore, very childishly,  i affirmatively shrugged off my mother’s idea of me to go and have my teeth braced on that basis back in my tweens.

So, lo and behold, today i am grimacing from staring at my own teeth in the mirror. The same tooth i once saw as ‘unique’ is no longer so. i had came to realise that having the perfect, straight teeth is the only timeless thing ever. I have grown really tired of my ‘apparently- cute’ tooth.

Well, i need to be more convincing when i am out in the society right? i can’t imagine facing business/ work acquaintances with my ‘cute- tooth’!

On the same note, see how we human strive to achieve perfections? Both females and males alike, we aim to be skinny and skinnier, having the perfect hair, body, skin, eyes, teeth etc!

I remember how the other time while i was at the blood donation centre. All donors had to declare their weights on the forms given to them and of course, i obediently put down the digits of my mass- which last measured was a year before (though i was 101% sure i have put on weight since then). And when we each were called in to be ‘interviewed’ by the doctors, the doctor was very nice. She asked me if my weight was accurate. I said it wasn’t, and was asked to get on the scale. I remembered clearly that i practically wheezed and heaved at the readings. Well, the doctor apparently had seen alot of the same reaction, so she merely shrugged and said, “i just want to make sure that you aren’t weighing below 40 kilograms.“

you don’t know how grateful i am at THAT statement. At least someone thought i may weigh less than 40kgs. Seriously speaking, if i am really weighing 40kgs at my height, i think hiding behind a lamppost will never ever pose as a problem for me! Good for me.

okay, i am rambling too much. you know what i mean..

Back to the braces thingy, i am probably having my real metals fixed this coming Saturday. It’s a dread considering that i have the world’s sloppiest dentist ever who don’t care for much whether he might just break your jaw or rip your lips off!

You guys should have seen how he worked on my teeth. Utter horror. I had to lather on tonnes of anti- ageing cream around my lips that night, for fear of mouth- area- premature- ageing with all that crude pulling and stretching!  Or I probably should start working on learning to open my mouth bigger too.

Though he is scary, he is kind of comical at the same time too. At the same time of having my teeth done, he would have me attending a little of both english and chinese classes. He would converse in Chinese or English according to his mood. I was already nervous from the fear of my lips being ripped off but there he is making me translate his words very consciously in my brain.

And there was a slight grossity- factor too. I guess that he forgot that his gloves are all tainted with my saliva. Because at the end of everything i was left with the whole of my lower quarter of my face all moisturised slathered with my own saliva.

Anyways. I needed to swallow some tylenol after being left with the insertion of spacers in my molars and most importantly, a broken gum wound(from a certain accidental slip- of- a- hand by the dentist).

PS They felt so much like meat chunks wedge between your teeth that you won’t help running your tongues over them all the time!

PSS You guys don’t know how i had to muster all my to put up that ugly picture! So please don’t love me less for posting that pict..! Or if you have, it doesn’t matter, i still love you as much! =D

Absolutely no inspiration to pen down anything, and no mood for much.

In the need to pick myself up and to reorganise all that the scatter and clutter.
